Five Things Friday Part 5

I will admit that I have been slacking BIG time on this blog. I guess I’m struggling with the overall focus of my blog and what I write about. I’ve decided to not over analyze it anymore and just go for it.

In thinking about the direction of my blog, I thought a lot about the big chunks of my life past and present, and I decided to add a new section detailing my struggle with weight loss and my new adventures on WeightWatchers. My weight has always been an issue for me and I wanted to share my story with others who are going through the same thing, or have already journeyed on this adventure and have been successful. I plan on sharing my recipes, workouts, and my progress.

I thought this Friday would never get here. It seemed like this week just dragged, but I’m ready for the weekend. We don’t really have plans but my goal is to get our closets all cleaned out so I can start to organize them. We want to put our condo on the market, but first we have to get it ready to show. I’m pretty excited!!

Moving right along into Five Things Friday…

I randomly saw this advertisement for ClubW on Facebook the other day. I was immediately intrigued when I saw that it was a wine club so naturally I had to investigate further. ClubW is a global winery that specializes in making tasty affordable wines. You answer a few simple questions and they will match the wines up to your personal palate and taste,  then they deliver 3 bottles of wine to your house. I mean, how awesome is that? You receive 3 bottles for $39 and you get free shipping if you purchase 6 or more bottles.

You can choose to mix and match red, white, or rose. ClubW are big believers in sustainability and the natural wine movement. They transport their wine in reusable totes to a centralized bottling and distributing center in order to reduce their carbon footprint. They support local vineyards that focus on sustainable farming and production.

Sloth

My husband found and bought me the cutest little present yesterday. He found it on Etsy at a shop called WishWithMe. It’s based out of Rhode Island and the owner basically specializes in making all.of.the.cute.things. This is Charlie, my pet sloth. He wraps around fingers, picture frames, car visors; basically anything. WishWithMe has a lot of other cute plush animals like kittens, bunnies, and even cute little marshmallows. Not sure how you can make a marshmallow cute, but WishWithMe does!

My 30th birthday is coming up at the end of August, and I wanted to do something special for it. I decided to plan a trip to Sin City with my husband, my sister and her partner, and some other family members. The last time I was in Vegas I was 17 years old and couldn’t really do much of anything so I’m super pumped to enjoy it this time around. We are going for 3 nights and staying at the CasesersPalace. The only thing we really have planned is seeing Absinthe and lounging outside in the sun in an amazing cabana . To say that I am excited is an understatement. I cannot wait to shop, gamble, drink cocktails and enjoy my 30th birthday with my friends and family.

I mean, does it really get any better than JT and Bell Biv DeVoe singing “Murder/Poison”? Probably not, unless you had all of *NSYNC up there as well, but I’ll take what I can get because I love me some JT.

My husband and I are in the preliminary stages of looking to buy a house. We’ve already been pre-approved by Wells Fargo, and if I’m  being honest I thought THAT part would be more difficult than it was. We want to stay in or around the neighborhood that we currently live in now but have realized that we should maybe bit more open to searching new neighborhoods and towns. I’m just curious to see how far our money can go and I cannot WAIT to get out of our condo. I mean, don’t get me wrong our condo is great and it’s “big enough” for the two of us and our cats, but I’d love a yard, a garage, and more space to spread out. So here’s hoping that this house hunting adventure isn’t too difficult.
